LandingCraftsForSale.com started in 2008 in Tampa Bay as a two-man barge brokerage. Today we are 14 brokers, naval architects and ex-landing craft masters moving 30-40 hulls a year. We don't list fantasy boats — we climb into void spaces, hammer-test hulls, run ramps under load and reject 70% of what sellers offer us.

Our yard partners in Florida, Alabama, UAE and the Philippines build new aluminum hulls 9-24m to USCG / CE / BV scantlings. Used steel LCMs and LCTs are refitted in-house: blasting to SA2.5, epoxy, new hydraulics, rewiring, sea trials with 110% payload.

Straight answers

What draft do I need to beach on sand?

For soft sand at low tide aim for 0.5-0.9m loaded. Our 9-12m aluminum draws 0.4-0.55m, 18-23m steel 0.85-0.9m. We test every hull loaded on sand before sale and give you video + tide table.

Can I trailer a landing craft?

Yes up to 12.5m / 8T on a triple-axle trailer with permits (3.8m beam needs wide-load in most US states). Larger 18m+ go by water or heavy-lift ship. We supply trailers, cradles and permits.

Aluminum or steel — which lasts longer?

Aluminum 5083 wins in saltwater with minimal paint (25+ years). Steel is cheaper per ton, tougher for rock/quarry, but needs blasting + epoxy every 7-10 years. For beaching on coral/rock daily, choose steel 10-12mm bottom.

Do you deliver to Africa / Pacific / Caribbean?

Yes. Own-keel in US Gulf/Caribbean, towage or deck cargo worldwide. Recent deliveries: Lagos, Mombasa, Jeddah, Maldives, Fiji, Guyana. 25-45 days port-to-port, insured, with import docs.

Can I finance or charter-to-own?

US buyers: marine mortgage 20-30% down, 5-10 yr. International: 40% down + bareboat charter 12-24 mo with purchase option. Trade-ins accepted after survey.

What documents do I get?

Notarized bill of sale, deletion from prior registry, builder's certificate for new builds, CE / USCG compliance letter, survey + thickness report, engine service history. Escrow via licensed marine title company.
